Ramadan: Otu urges Muslims to pray for peace, security in Nigeria
Cross River State governor, Senator Bassey Otu, has urged all Muslims to continue to pray for a peaceful and a united Nigeria as they commence he holy month of Ramadan fast.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Nsa Gill, Otu, who described Ramadan as the holy month of spiritual rejuvenation, self-reflection, discipline, and generosity, urged all Muslims to seize the opportunity of the holy month to rededicate themselves to the values of compassion, forgiveness, and mercy.
“The month of Ramadan is a sacred period for spiritual reflection, fasting, and charity. I urge all Muslims to use this opportunity to pray to Allah, the Almighty God, for the unity and stability of Nigeria, where peace and justice shall reign,” he said.
“As we commemorate this holy month, please remember the less privileged, the vulnerable, and the marginalized; reach out to them with kindness, generosity, and empathy.”
The Governor wished Muslims a peaceful, blessed, and rewarding Ramadan.
