RAOPIC ladies celebrate 20th anniversary, commit to development
The women’s wing of the Resident Association of Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation (RAOPIC Ladies) on Tuesday celebrated its 20th anniversary as part of Independence Day activities to empower youths and support the less privileged in society.
Comprising mothers and elite residing in OPIC Estate at Agbara, Ogun State, the women celebrated the nation’s unity and democracy with the affected persons in and around the community.
According to the body’s president, Mrs. Monica Akpokodje: “We have decided to celebrate Nigeria’s independence and the 20th anniversary of the association by developing an enterprise where the proceeds could be used to support the youths and the less privileged.”
She noted that the group had been involved in different programmes like visiting orphanage homes and other less privilege places to show care and concern to the people.
She said it is my immense pleasure to welcome you all to the 20th anniversary of RAOPIC Ladies.
“Today, we gather not just to commemorate two decades of our share journeys, but to honour the unwavering spirit, dedication and accomplishment of every woman who has been a part of this remarkable organization.

“Over the past 20 years, we have forged bonds, supported one another, and created countless memories. Together, we have championed causes, uplifted our community, and empowered future generations. This milestone is a testament to our collective strength and resilience,” she said.
The pioneer president, RAOPIC Ladies, Rachael Osanyi, said the day marks a significant milestone for the association for the relentless work done over the years.
According to her, the journey through the years has brought together members of the community to foster peace and tranquility within the environment.
She said the association has come together to plan programmes that will be beneficial and social for the people of the community.
