The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) has announced a general stakeholders’ meeting in preparation for the 2025 Local Government Elections in the state.

According to a notice signed by Hon. Justice Adolphus Enebeli (Rtd), Chairman/Chief Electoral Commissioner of RSIEC, the meeting is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the RSIEC Headquarters, 239-243 Aba Road, Port Harcourt.

The meeting, which is expected to commence promptly at 2:00 p.m., will bring together leaders of registered political parties, traditional rulers, security agencies, religious organisations, and media professionals.

The statement read: “The Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, Hon. Justice Adolphus Enebeli, DSSRS, (Rtd.), hereby invites:

Leaders of all registered Political Parties; Traditional Rulers; Security Agencies; Religious Organizations; The Media; Professional Organizations; Civil Society Groups; Non-Governmental Organizations; Community-Based Groups, and the Electorate to a general stakeholders’ meeting on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the RSIEC Headquarters, 239-243 Aba Road, Port Harcourt, by 2:00 p.m. prompt.

“The highlight of the meeting will be the unveiling of the timetable and guidelines for the 2025 Local Government Elections in the state. All concerned should be seated at the RSIEC Auditorium by 2:00 p.m., please.”
