Davdan Peace and Advocacy Foundation, in partnership with 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa, organisers of the annual 100 Most Notable African Leadership and Business Summit, has announced the date for the annual 100 Most Notable African Leadership and Business Summit in Kigali, Rwanda, and the commencement of nominations for the 2025 edition of the 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa award ceremony, which will take place in Kigali, Rwanda, in July.

The 100 Most Notable Africans Leadership and Business Summit 2025 is a prestigious event that brings together influential business leaders, industry experts, and thought leaders from around the world to discuss and explore key trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping the global business landscape.

This summit offers a unique platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration, with a focus on driving innovation, fostering growth, and inspiring positive change.

The event, which has as its theme “Leadership Frameworks for Governance, Business Growth, Investment Opportunities, and Sustainable Development in Africa,” will feature three major award categories: 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa, 100 Most Notable Women Africa 2025, and 100 Most Notable Young Entrepreneurs 2025.

The annual, colourful 100 Most Notable African Leadership and Business Summit will be held from July 4th to 6th at the Marriott Hotel, Kigali, Rwanda, the Project Director, Dr. Kingsley Amafibe, said in a statement on Friday.

According to Amafibe, the ceremony has, over the years, served as a platform to drive economic growth, build young leaders in Africa, and honour individuals and organisations who, in their various fields of endeavour, are adding significant value to the development of humanity and society. It is an opportunity to recognise them in order to spur more hard work and excellence.

Some of the fields where awardees have been recognised include Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Agriculture, Education, Infrastructure, Environment, and several others.

He added that award recipients have also been drawn from the public sector, especially in governance and leadership, among those who have raised the bar of excellent governance in states across Nigeria and nations across Africa.

The 100 Most Notable African Leadership and Business Summit has also fostered networking among organizations, leading to partnerships and collaborations.

Expected at the annual event ceremony are top leaders across the African continent, including government officials from across Africa, captains of industry, business executives, past awardees of 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa, and 100 Most Notable Women Africa.

Invitations have been extended to the governors of Abia, Gombe, Rivers, Enugu and Delta states, the Vice President of Kenya, and the Presidents of Kenya, Burundi, Zambia, and Ghana, as well as several First Ladies.

He said this year’s edition, like previous ones, will be very memorable, as necessary steps have been put in place to make it bigger and more colourful, creating fun memories.
