Sani commits to infrastructure conversion, renewal
Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani has said he will convert the Sir Patrick Yakowa General Hospital, Kafanchan, in Southern Kaduna, to a Federal Medical Centre (FMC), and complete abandoned Kafanchan township roads to address the untold hardship on the people in the next three months.
He said contractors had been mobilised to work.
The governor made the remarks over the weekend at the second Southern Kaduna Festival in Kafanchan, reassuring that his administration was committed to a massive transformation of rural communities.
He lauded “the people of Southern Kaduna, who have reciprocated the gesture by ensuring that peace prevails so that there will be unhindered development.”
Speaking on the theme of the event, “Preserving Heritage, Igniting Progress,” Sani noted that culture plays a role in shaping identities and values, as well as inspiring creativity, while adding that, “our cultural heritage is the foundation upon which we build our progress, and it is our responsibility to preserve it for future generations.”
He said his administration had recorded a lot of transformative projects in the 18 months of being in office, stating: “They are reshaping our communities and enhancing the quality of life for our citizens.’”
