Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has promised that he and his team would double their efforts in every sector to ensure that his administration delivers more dividends of democracy to the people, with the goal of making the state better and bigger in 2025 and the years ahead.

Sanwo-Olu pledged yesterday, at the 2025 Lagos yearly Thanksgiving service, organised by the first family, in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs, and themed “Harvest of Thanksgiving”, which is the 25th edition.

“In Lagos State, we are very mindful of this shared responsibility, and we will redouble our efforts in every sector, setting the pace for the rest of the country. We are keying into President’s Renewed Hope agenda, and by synergising our efforts with it, we will ensure that peace, progress and socio-economic prosperity are guaranteed for the good people of Lagos State,” he said.

The governor maintained that amid turbulent times, God has been with the state.

He said he and his team would tackle the challenges in the state with vigour in 2025.

Sanwo-Olu admitted that the ongoing reforms had produced challenging times, but assured positive outcomes.

He is optimistic that the sacrifices made by Nigerians will not be in vain.

He added that Nigeria’s global perspective is shifting, noting that Lagos was safer than ever.

Aside from ministrations by different gospel artists to thank God, there were prayers for the President and his family, the governor, the deputy governor, and their families, the State Executive Council members, the legislature, the judiciary, civil servants and residents.
