The APC gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has won his Lateef Jakande/Femi Okunu polling unit 019.
He got a total vote of 124, defeating his closest rival, Jimi Agbaje of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 26 votes.

Also, APC state House of Assembly candidate, Ishau Gbolahan, defeated his PDP counterpart with 114 votes against PDP’s 30.

However, the polling unit experienced poor voters’ turnout with only 159 accredited voters out of the 1098 registered voters.

Meanwhile, the wife of National Leader of APC, Remi Tinubu, has said her next level target is becoming the Senate Deputy President as the only woman with a third mandate in the Senate.

Lady Tinubu was also optimistic while granting an interview to the The Guardian that APC would continue to win in Lagos state and other states as long as the party continues to develop people and the country.

She lamented the participation of too many insignificant parties in the election, saying it makes it confusing and complicated for most of the illiterate voters, as well as money and time consuming.

She advised the fringe parties to align with bigger parties of similar ideologies and programmes.
