The mother of Jeremiah Simeon, Olorunda Precious, is seeking financial assistance to help save her three-year-old son, who has been diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot, a rare heart condition.

Jeremiah experienced frequent squatting and bluish discolouration of the body, prompting a diagnosis of TOF at Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital. TOF is a congenital heart defect characterised by four problems affecting the heart’s structure and blood flow.

Children with TOF often exhibit blue or grey skin due to low oxygen levels.Urgent surgery is needed to repair Jeremiah’s TOF and improve blood supply to his lungs due to frequent episodes of breathlessness and bluish discolouration.

Simeon’s mother, a small business owner, approached the Gifting Volunteer Network after depleting all her income on frequent drug purchases and hospital bills for her son.

She explained her ordeal: “Taking care of Simeon and providing food has become challenging, which is why I have reached out to the Gifting Volunteer Network to help me save my boy.”

The Guardian learned that urgent surgery is required to give Simeon a chance at good health, and the estimated cost of investigations and surgery is N5 million.
