Amidst the ripple effects of high exchange rates on the tourism industry, a travel agency has begun assisting others in securing flexible pricing from foreign airlines.

Finchglow Travels, a consolidator with 18 years of experience in the industry, stated that it has perfected the art of obtaining flexible pricing from airlines and other travel business stakeholders. The company aims to train upcoming agents in the field.

Adeola Waheed, General Sales Manager of Finchglow Travels, speaking at the 11th edition of the Partner Plus Connect (PPC), noted that the platform enables them to meet with sub-agents and support their business growth.

She highlighted that Finchglow Travels offers flight ticket bookings, hotel reservations, cargo services, protocol services, and visa services, describing the company as a one-stop shop for all travel needs.

Waheed also disclosed plans to create an automated platform leveraging technology, which will allow travel agents to access flight booking deals, satisfy their clients, and increase their income.

John Isaiah, Branch Manager at Finchglow Travels, explained that the program aims to strengthen the travel business amidst rising prices caused by high exchange rates. The initiative trains trade partners on securing fair pricing for their clients.

“We have 18 years of experience in the industry and deep knowledge of the business. Our main aim is to empower upcoming travel agents. As a consolidator, we negotiate with airlines and pass benefits down to smaller agents to help them remain in business despite the high FX rates,” he said.

Isaiah added that Finchglow Travels, as a travel consolidator, partners with sub-agents and offers services including travel planning, bookings, and hotel reservations. He emphasized that the company is driven by technological innovation, introducing Partner Plus Connect webinar programs and the Partner Plus Promo product to enhance travel agents’ skills.

Bashirat Shitu, another Branch Manager, noted that passengers traveling during the yuletide season often book their tickets between January and June.

She explained that flight bookings are usually based on client preferences, with most opting for cheaper options. However, bookings for Emirates Airlines have declined due to their dollar-rated tickets, as most passengers prefer tickets priced in Naira to avoid high exchange rate costs.
