Worried by developments arising from the ongoing protest, the South West East North of Nigeria Initiative (SOWENON) has cautioned against bringing Nigeria into chaos that may ruin the entire economic system with significant effects on humanity.

Reacting to the development, Chairman of SOWENON, Dr. Sam Jenfa, warned that the current situation, if allowed to continue, could spread over many generations as witnessed in some countries in Africa.

Jenfa said, “Bringing the nation into chaos will ruin the entire economic system with significant effects on humanity, and this can spread over many generations as we have witnessed in some countries in Africa.”

He appealed to Nigerians to be patient, saying peaceful resolutions are needed, not chaos and anarchy, maintaining that the economic system has already collapsed across all sectors for over a decade.

Noting that the current administration cannot resolve the country’s problems overnight, Jenfa noted that the administration is working hard to bail Nigeria out of the insurgent strike of the economic meltdown challenging the good living conditions of citizens.

Acknowledging that protest can be justified, he called for a productive resolution instead of the adoption of a protest that may manifest anarchy and pose a threat to the security of the nation.

He appealed to the youths to be tolerant with the administration and consider a better way of supporting the federal government to seek long and lasting positive solutions concerning this matter.

Jenfa further urged alleged underground people steering the protest to cause anarchy and chaos to consider the future of the nation and future generations.

He added: “The timeline for realizing the gradual change to our economy might be too slow, but that is what it takes to rebuild a collapsed economy across all sectors. With the perseverance of the citizens, restructuring our economy, and investing in the local government areas through both localized and neighborhood renewal budgets, we can achieve progress.”
