Uzodimma appoints eight-member IROMA board
After many years of its absence, the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, on Monday, appointed an eight-member board of the Imo State Road Maintenance Agency (IROMA).
IROMA was set up by the then administration of Chief Ikedi Ohakim (2007-2011) to maintain the roads in the 27 local councils in the state.
Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, in a statement, said the board is chaired by Kingsley Ononuju, and a fellow lawyer, Chikodi Onyeanwuna, serves as the secretary.
Other members are Egbuka Edwin as Managing Director; Dr. Emeka Enyinnaya; Ikenna Anyasodo, an engineer; Harrison Amaechi Ejianya; Nwaobi Williams C, an engineer; and Pascal Ojiaku.
Meanwhile, the inauguration of the board and members of the Civil Service Commission and the Local Government Service Commission, which had been earlier scheduled to take place in Owerri, by the governor, on Monday, January 27, was postponed indefinitely due to “administrative exigencies.”
