Uzodimma signs N807b 2025 appropriation bill into law

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, yesterday, signed the state’s 2025 appropriation bill of N807 billion into law.

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, yesterday, signed the state’s 2025 appropriation bill of N807 billion into law.

The governor had, last week, presented an appropriation proposal of N755 billion to the 27-member Imo State House of Assembly; but the lawmakers increased the size to N807 billion for the 2025 fiscal year.

Uzodimma informed that the budget envelope would be implemented and guided by accountability, and transparency, focusing on impactful outcomes that would benefit the people of Imo State.

He said: “This budget is a testament to our shared vision for Imo State’s development. Together, we will achieve meaningful progress for Ndi Imo.

“The signing of the Appropriation Bill signifies a unified commitment between the executive and legislative arms of government to drive sustainable growth and development across the state in 2025.”

He applauded the lawmakers for their commitment, diligence and expedition in passing the bill, ensuring that the budget reflected the interests and aspirations of the state and its citizens.
