VGC residents mark 30 years of unity
Residents of Victoria Garden City (VGC) Lagos have concluded its 30th-anniversary celebrations, marking three decades of community spirit, growth, and harmonious living.
The week-long event, themed “Celebrating Diversity and Unity,” brought together residents, friends, and partners for a series of unforgettable activities.
From the Charity Walk that kicked off the celebrations to the Grand Award Dinner that brought the festivities to a close, VGC@30 was a resounding success.
Activities included a poignant Remembrance Day, a symbolic tree planting ceremony, a lively kids/youth literacy funfair, a competitive sports tournament, and a vibrant cultural carnival showcasing the estate’s diverse heritage.
Beyond the celebrations, VGC@30 reaffirmed the values that make it a leading residential estate in Nigeria.
The event emphasised community engagement, with proceeds from the charity walk and cultural carnival channeled into local development initiatives and charitable projects.
“This anniversary truly captured the spirit of collaboration and shared vision that has made VGC the thriving community it is today,” said Mrs Lola Bolarinwa,
Chairman of the VGC Property Owners and Residents Association (VGCPORA) and a resident of 20 years said: “We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, vendors, and partners for their invaluable support in making VGC@30 a truly memorable occasion.” As VGC looks ahead, the community is committed to preserving its legacy of excellence and fostering an inclusive environment for all residents.
