Vote for Nigeria’s survival, Obi’s wife urges electorate

Wife of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Margaret Obi, has said only her husband’s victory will unite and secure Nigeria.
She insisted that among the presidential candidates, her husband is the most trusted, tested and passionate about a new Nigeria.
Obi’s wife, who stated this at a town hall meeting with Labour Party women in Imo State, held in Owerri, yesterday, said the coming general elections would define the future of the country.
She said: “Voting Obi into power is a collective task for well-meaning Nigerians, and for the general good of all, irrespective of ethnicity, religion and class.”
“The coming elections are for every eligible Nigerian. My husband is not running because he wants to be president, but because, with his running mate, Yusuf Datti, they can get the job of remaking Nigeria done.
“In fact, his priority, if he wins, is to unite and secure Nigeria. So, he is offering himself for a better Nigeria. His victory will birth a new Nigeria. This election will define the future of Nigeria and that of our children and children yet unborn.
“Hold me responsible if my husband fails when elected. As his wife, I will give him all my support to succeed.”
