The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, said the Culture Change Song and Video, originally introduced within the Nigerian Federal Civil Service, have been reintroduced as part of ongoing efforts to advance the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP) 2025 reforms.

She was said to have officially relaunched the Song and Video during a retreat organised for Federal Permanent Secretaries held last week in Niger State.

In a statement yesterday made available to The Guardian by the Head of Information and Public Relations, Eno Olotu, the Culture Change Song and Video, according to her, are intended to accelerate key reforms in the Nigerian Federal Civil Service by promoting a unified and efficient workforce.

Didi, who said that these tools are designed to foster a culture that is efficient, productive, incorruptible, and citizen-centred (EPIC), said, “This Song, a source of pride and inspiration, will also serve as a clarion call and rallying point for all Federal Civil Servants.

“It will unite us in our shared mission to drive reforms, boost productivity, and deliver excellent service to Nigerian citizens.”

She also announced that the initiative is aimed at encouraging professionalism, courtesy, and respect among civil servants in their daily work and interactions, ultimately driving the transformation that Nigerian citizens expect.

“The relaunch of the Culture Change Song marks the start of a new phase in which every Federal Civil Servant is expected to play a key role in change management,” she stated.

The initiative, in her words, seeks to promote values reorientation, transparency, accountability, and a strong culture of integrity across the civil service.
