Why we need to build digital solutions that empower Nigerian businesses

As the digital economy grows, businesses are finding it increasingly difficult to compete without a strong online presence. Digital solutions have become essential for companies seeking to stay relevant in the market. but in Nigeria, countless small businesses were struggling to get a foothold online. This shift created a demand for indeginous web development services and social media marketing platforms that cater to Nigerian businesses of all sizes. Praise Ndamzi saw this gap, and rather than just noticing it, he decided to do something about it.

“I are driven by a vision to empower individuals and businesses with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in the digital age,” says Ndamzi. “I believe that everyone, regardless of their background, should have the opportunity to thrive in the digital economy.”

Growing up, Praise had always been fascinated by technology. He would spend hours with computers, learning how to code by watching free YouTube tutorials. However, one thing that struck him was the high cost of getting digital presence in Nigeria. Small businesses and young entrepreneurs simply couldn’t afford to go digital, and many were left behind. “We’ve seen too many businesses struggle to create a strong online presence because of the high costs of web development,” Ndamzi explains. “Our goal is to remove those barriers by offering affordable, high-quality websites that anyone can access.”

Determined to make a change, Praise launched Praise Technologies in December 2023 with a simple goal: to empower Nigerian businesses and individuals by providing affordable, high-quality digital solutions. His first product was website development, and his mission was clear: make it accessible to everyone.

Within a few months, Praise Technologies had built over 80 functional websites to be powerful tools that helped businesses increase their online visibility, engage customers, and ultimately boost their sales. “Building these websites isn’t just about design,” Praise said one day while reflecting on his work. “It’s about helping people bring their ideas to life. I want to give businesses the tools they need to succeed online, regardless of their size or budget.”

But Praise didn’t stop there. He realized that beyond websites, there was another area where many Nigerian businesses struggled: social media marketing, for this he launched Getsocialboost. This platform has attracted over 10,000 users who are leveraging its tools to grow their online presence, reach new audiences, and engage with their followers.

“Our mission with Getsocialboost is simple: to provide a cost-effective solution that helps businesses and individuals harness the power of social media to achieve their goals,” says Ndamzi. “Social media is a powerful tool, but many people struggle to use it effectively. Getsocialboost takes the guesswork out of social media marketing and allows users to focus on what matters – growing their business.”

“As someone who learned a lot on my own, I understand how important it is to have access to the right resources and opportunities,” Praise shared during a workshop. “That’s why I want to give back by helping students gain digital skills that will open doors for them in the future.”

“Our journey has just begun,” Praise says with a smile. “We want to expand across Africa, providing innovative digital solutions that empower people everywhere. We’re not just building websites – we’re building futures,” he concludes.
