The Women in Business (WIB) market fair has opened its doors for traders and customers to connect in a relaxed atmosphere in Abuja, with hundreds of vendors eager to participate. This event is anticipated to be one of the largest trade expos in the city in recent times, featuring numerous attractions designed to enhance the shopping experience.

Organizers aim to create opportunities for savvy shoppers to prepare for the holiday season before prices rise closer to Christmas. The WIB Fair, conceived by Okads Seafood, boasts major sponsorships from MTN, Amstel, Bolt, Aquafina Water, and Pay Ass.

Ebiere Empere, the convener and CEO of Okads Seafood, announced that over 100 women exhibitors will benefit from a complete waiver of the N150,000 space fee. Speaking to ABUJAPRESS, she described the upcoming trade fair as an unmatched experience focused on expanding economic opportunities for women and helping them grow their customer base.

Empere confirmed that around 200 exhibitors will display their products at affordable prices, ensuring an easier sales process and customer satisfaction. She emphasized her commitment to harnessing women’s potential for nation-building and encouraged women vendors to book their stands and participate in the fair.

“This event goes beyond a typical trade experience; we aim to provide entertainment for both shoppers and exhibitors,” Empere stated. “There will be a dedicated area for parents to shop for fantastic products for their kids as Christmas approaches.”

She also expressed the goal of redefining trade fairs and removing barriers that have historically hindered women’s business growth. The decision to offer free spaces for 100 women exhibitors is part of their initiative to enhance their businesses and customer networks.

The trade fair is scheduled to take place from November 1 to 3 at the Old Parade Ground in Garki, Abuja, operating from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily.
