Wizkid releases new album ‘Morayo’ in honour of late mum
Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has added another masterpiece to his music catalogue.
His sixth studio album, Morayo, hit the airwaves on Friday, November 22, under Starboy Entertainment and RCA Records.
The title, Morayo, which means “I see joy” in Yoruba, is a tribute to his late mother, Juliana Morayo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023.

Wizkid had hinted at the album’s greatness earlier, tweeting in July: “Best album I ever made!! Now listen! It’s only up from here!”
This 16-track album is packed with collaborations and showcases Wizkid’s signature Afrobeat vibes.
Fans can vibe to hit singles like Piece of My Heart featuring Brent Faiyaz, Kese (Dance), and new tracks like Bad Girl with Asake, Après Minuit featuring Tiakola, and Bad For You with Jazmine Sullivan.

Wizkid and Asake also bagged a Grammy nomination for Best African Music Performance with their earlier collaboration, MMS.
