People Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders in Yagba Federal Constituency, Kogi State, have adopted former member of the House of Representatives and deputy governorship candidate in the 2019 election, Samuel Aro, as their candidate for next month’s senatorial primaries in Kogi West Zone.

The senatorial district consists of three federal constituencies, namely Yagba, Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu and Lokoja/Kotonkarfe.
The adoption of Aro, an oil magnate, was contained in a statement issued in Lokoja, yesterday, by the Secretary, Yagba PDP Forum, Philip Orebiyi.

In a unanimous decision at the end of deliberations at the Mopa residence of former deputy governor, Yomi Awoniyi, in, Mopamuro Local Council, at the weekend, Aro, who emerged the ‘Unity Candidate’ for the Senate category of the primaries, will be joined by Tolorunjuwon Faniyi as consensus candidate for the House of Representatives.

Faniyi represented Yagba in the Green Chamber between 2003 and 2007.
