Sir: The arraignment of some former governors who are suspected to have abused their offices and other notable figures across the country shows that an anti-corruption agency like EFCC has finally woken up from its slumber to prosecute all those that corruptly enrich themselves while they hold positions of trust in government ministries, department or agencies.

The government of President Muhammadu Buhari has clearly shown that battle against corruption is now full swing, to clean the Augean stable. Most likely, lessons would be learnt by the present government officials and elected representatives that it would no longer be business as usual. The coming of the present administration may be a great blessing that the people of this country have been waiting for.

It is pertinent to call on all other anti-graft agencies in the country to step up the fight to tame the monster of corruption that has been a source concern to Nigerians and the international community.

I urge Nigerians to continue to be patient with the present government to make sure it fulfills all its promises of effecting change in the entire spectrum of the society. Nigeria is greater than any individual and nobody should be above the laws of the land. Prosecute anybody that illegally dips his or her hand in the commonwealth of this country.
