Please, do not attack or censure Dr. Okonjo-Iweala. Just like she has said, calm down, folks! It will be highly disingenuous to rebuke or chastise the respected Director General of the World Trade Organization, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, for hastily posting her pictures with other world leaders without the President of her country—Nigeria

Sir: Please, do not attack or censure Dr. Okonjo-Iweala. Just like she has said, calm down, folks! It will be highly disingenuous to rebuke or chastise the respected Director General of the World Trade Organization, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, for hastily posting her pictures with other world leaders without the President of her country—Nigeria.

Remember, these social media rabble-rousers did not see President Tinubu in the DG; NOI-Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala posted pictures in the Paris global financial summit of World Leaders in Paris. It is amusingly ridiculous to see our “lazy” Nigerians playing ethnic and political ping-pong, chastising NOI. Our revered Dr. Okonjo Iweala’s indeliberate mistake has given her polarized Nigerian citizens room for speculation.

Meanwhile, while some people are pleased that President Tinubu was imaginarily “snubbed” by DG NOI, others are dissatisfied by her deliberate or indeliberate omission of Mr. President. This prevailing naughtiness among our people shows the polarization in our fragile unity. Nigeria is thinly or delicately sitting on the tripod of hate and division—the trend of division and mutual suspicion among Nigerians need to stop. Let’s leverage and explore our unique diversity and differences for the advancement of Nigeria.

President Tinubu’s preparedness is on course and methodical. Mr. President has a lot of work to do to disabuse his disgruntled citizens’ minds for their legitimate grievances against the Nigerian leadership. The trust gap and the need for more certainty between leadership and followership are apparent. Leadership’s attempt to gain the people’s trust is a going concern and must be sustained to bring unity and progress to Nigeria.

Madam Okonjo-Iweala is our cultural and intellectual ambassador, per excellence. She is a measured, brilliant and well-behaved woman and a quintessential leader. Social media profiteers must not slam and waffle her with the prevailing naughtiness on zuckerville. Responsible Nigerians should always decouple themselves and discourage these nattering content creators. Social media natters only attempt to thrive and trend for profits on social media to cause division and confusion among gullible Nigerians.
