Tribute to late Baba Pa Andrew Idowu Iworh
SIR: No words can be enough to describe a beloved father who passed away. Death is inevitable. It is a journey that everyone must take. Often times we wish death wasn’t a part of life, we wish we would just stay alive on earth with our near and dear ones not dying. But unfortunately, we cannot. Our prayer is that we fulfill our days on earth and grow old before our time is up.
We also pray that the soul of Baba will rest in perfect peace. I still can’t bear the reality that you are no longer on earth. Death is a common leveler and has no regards for the status of an individual, such that it can even come for the great in the prime/peak of their greatness. You are a God-fearing man. Your Heavenly Father has decided that it is now time you rest from your labours on this earth.
Baba, you are well loved and will be missed by everyone. I love you. Till we meet again. The benefits of your hard work are a living testimony for so many young men and women you took under your wings at a personal and professional level.
Baba, you were and will always be an inspiration to myself, the entire family and anyone who have worked with you. You have left a void in the family that will never be filled.
While we mourn today, we also take comfort in the fact that your mission on earth has been fulfilled. We thank the Lord for your life and bid you farewell until we meet again. It might happen at any time of the day. Death is an inevitable journey that everyone must embark. However, Baba’s passing came at a time we needed him most for his wisdom and unblemished fatherly advice. It is often said that the death of an old man in Africa is like a library set ablaze because of the huge knowledge of information and wisdom taken beyond
No doubt Baba was simple in nature and lived a good life and a God fearing man. His approach to life and things generally was gentle but one thing is very common with Baba, he dressed nattily always. His hardwork and steadfastness are a living testimonies for everyone to emulate.
Death be not proud because Baba was a shining example for everyone that crossed his path and his memory will linger forever in our hearts
Even as we mourn your passing Baba, we take solace that you now rest in the bosom of the Lord, free from all vicissitudes of life.
