Super Eagles’ star, Victor Osimhen, is on the verge of sealing a move to French club, Paris St. Germain, in a reported €120 million deal. Napoli have been waiting for suitors for the former Lille star, with English side, Chelsea also waiting by the wing to hijack the transfer and bring the Nigerian to Stamford Bridge.

According to reports from Italy, the 25-year-old striker is expected in Paris for medicals, while Napoli and PSG continue negotiations on the fee and other conditions for his release.

Osimhen had earlier rejected mouth-watering offers from several Saudi Arabian clubs. Italian outfit, Tutto Napoli, said the deal could be sealed as early as the next 48 hours, adding that his agent, Roberto Calenda, is working with Parisian officials to cement the agreement.

Reports earlier said that Chelsea and Manchester United were unable to meet Osimhen’s €120 million release clause, with Napoli President, Aurelio De Laurentiis rejecting their player-plus cash proposal.

According to footballfancast.com, Chelsea have quickly weighed in with their offer for the Nigerian, who they see as a good prospect for the type of football Enzo Maresca wants to introduce to Stamford Bridge.

The report, however, did not say if the London side has begun discussions with Napoli.
