Primate Elijah Ayodele, Founder and Leader of INRI Spiritual Evangelical Church in Lagos, has endorsed Professor Charles Soludo for the 2025 governorship election in Anambra State, asserting that other candidates are not strong enough to compete.

The Guardian reports that Soludo, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and current Governor of Anambra State, will be seeking a second term next year when residents in the state head to the polls. However, Primate Ayodele, known for predicting election results, has assured the governor he would be re-elected.

The cleric said this during a gathering with his followers at the church’s international headquarters in Ejigbo, Lagos, on Friday, October 4, 2024.

He advised the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party against fielding candidates, labelling such efforts a waste of resources.

Primate Ayodele stated, “Soludo, go for a second term; nobody else can compete with you. You will win with a landslide.

“He will win. All these Labour, PDP, if anybody comes out, you waste your money. Nobody can compete with Soludo, let them go and sleep. “He is the best candidate to rule Anambra State who will do better than others.”

Primate Ayodele also expressed doubt regarding the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating, “There are some people that wanted to introduce crisis in the party; he must not allow it. People are talking about APC; nobody from APC can win you.”

He encouraged Soludo to focus on comprehensive development across Anambra, including rural and urban areas, agriculture, and road infrastructure.

He said that Soludo will perform better than his predecessors, adding “He will do what Peter Obi has never done.”

He stressed further the need for Soludo to prioritise security and development initiatives: “He must work on rural development, urban development, agriculture, road construction, and put security in place.”
