Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have urged the people of Ondo State not to fall for the ’empty promises’ of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stressing that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa remains the best for the state.

Speaking during the third leg of the senatorial flag-off campaign in Ondo South, held in Ore, headquarters of Odigbo Local Council Area, a former gubernatorial aspirant, Olusola Oke, expressed confidence in the party’s stronghold in the southern district ahead of the election.

Oke said: “The South belongs to the APC; the people here know the governor’s track record, and they stand firmly with him. We will deliver victory for Governor Aiyedatiwa.”

On his part, Abiola Makinde, the Director-General of the Aiyedatiwa Campaign, called on members of the APC to remain united and resist any distractions during the campaign.

He said, “This election is about progress, and we cannot afford to lose focus. Governor Aiyedatiwa has proven his capacity to lead, and with your support, we will secure victory on November 16.”

The APC Chairman in the state, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, assured the governor that the party is well-prepared to win in all 18 local government areas (LGAs) of the state.

Also, the Deputy Governor, Olayide Adelami, reinforced the message of progress, urging the people to continue supporting Aiyedatiwa’s administration, which he described as focused on the welfare of the people of the state.

He stressed that the governor’s leadership has brought unprecedented growth to the region, and more could be achieved with a full term in office.

While addressing the crowd that thronged the venue of the rally, Aiyedatiwa assured that more impactful projects would be delivered when he’s elected, stating that the achievements of his administration so far are just the beginning.

He said, “You haven’t seen anything yet; there are more developmental projects coming, and I am committed to transforming every part of this state.

“The APC remains a united, indivisible family, and every leader in our party is focused on a single goal, which is our victory on November 16.”

He lauded the people for their overwhelming support, attributing it to the tangible development his administration has brought to Ondo State in a short period of time.

He added: “On November 16, I urge you to translate your support into votes for the APC, so we can keep moving Ondo State forward.”
