Group urges Tinubu to appoint Tejuosho as minister
The Niger Delta Rural Women Development Front (NDRWDF), on Saturday, called on President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to appoint Dr. Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, to a political position, highlighting her extensive expertise and commitment to social development as a vital asset for his administration.
The NDRWDF emphasized her relentless dedication to alleviating poverty and improving the welfare of the underprivileged, describing her humanitarian efforts as a “rare virtue” in contemporary Nigeria.
In a statement signed by national spokesperson Comrade Tamarapreye Nemi and secretary Comrade (Mrs) Ochuko F. Mercy, the organization praised Dr. Tejuosho as a distinguished philanthropist whose initiatives have significantly impacted vulnerable populations across Nigeria.
They said that Dr. Tejuosho is well-known for her programs aimed at uplifting marginalized groups, particularly widows, orphans, unemployed youth, and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
The women’s group articulated that President Tinubu would benefit immensely from Dr. Tejuosho’s innovative approach and deep-rooted patriotism, adding that, “By appointing Dr. Tejuosho, President Tinubu would not only enhance the effectiveness of his Renewed Hope Agenda but also demonstrate a genuine commitment to inclusive governance.”
NDRWDF expressed confidence that Tejuosho if allowed to serve, would implement transformative policies that could substantially improve the socio-economic conditions of many Nigerians.
They emphasized that such an appointment would earn the President accolades nationally and internationally.
Reiterating their stance, the group said, “Dr. Tejuosho’s appointment would mark a significant step towards fostering inclusivity in governance, effectively addressing the diverse needs of the Nigerian populace.”
They said that Tejuosho has garnered widespread recognition for her philanthropic works throughout the country.
