My mandate was stolen in 2018, Adeleke insists
The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has alleged that the 2018 governorship election in the state was stolen from him.
According to Adeleke, during an interview recently, claimed that he did not lose the election to his predecessor, Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), but rather, the election was stolen.
“I didn’t lose to Oyetola; they stole the mandate of the people of Osun state,” he said.
The governor, who attributed his success to divine intervention, stated that God put disunity in his opponent’s camp and made them fight themselves before he returned from America.
He revealed that he has learned to be thankful to God through good times and bad times. He also shared the secret to his love for dancing, saying it is a tactic to deceive his opponents. He also noted that he has never borrowed funds but instead sets aside his security fund for infrastructure and development in Osun State.
The governor reiterated his promise to the people of the state, pledging to deliver quality governance and connect rural communities and urban cities to foster agriculture.
“When people have farms without good roads, how are they going to access the city to sell their produce?” he asked.
