Ohanaeze Ndigbo validates Ugwuanyi endorsements for re-election

Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Enugu State Chapter, yesterday, validated the gale of endorsements for Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s re-election in 2019.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Enugu State Chapter, yesterday, validated the gale of endorsements for Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s re-election in 2019.

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation said: “This validation of endorsements by the Ohanaeze Ndigbo is an ultimate Seal of Authority in Igbo Land”.

Presenting the organisation’s stance, during Iri-Ji Festival, held in Enugu, President, Enugu State Chapter, Chiedozie Alex Ogbonnia, said the validation was “the most bankable promissory note that beckons on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for a Certificate of Return to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Lawrence Ugwuanyi as governor-elect in Enugu State come 2019”.

The body explained that its decision was based on numerous groups in the state that had endorsed the governor for a second term. In his remark, President General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo, who witnessed the occasion with Ugwuanyi and other dignitaries, noted that the validation by the Enugu State chapter of the organisation was an outward demonstration of solidarity for the governor.
