Plateau govt lifts suspension of two commissioners, aides
Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has lifted the suspension of four officials, including two commissioners and two aides, after nearly two months.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr. Gyang Bere.
Bere stated that the governor approved the lifting of the officials’ suspension following a thorough review of their conduct during the suspension period.
The officials reinstated include Chrysanthus Dawam, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, and Jamila Tukur, Commissioner for Tourism, Culture, and Hospitality.
The other two officials affected are Dio Lamul, Special Adviser on Rural Development, and Moses Sule, Liaison Officer for Mikang Constituency.
The statement announcing the lifting of their suspension read in part: “The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has lifted the suspension previously placed on two commissioners, a special adviser, and a liaison officer.
“Governor Mutfwang made this decision after a thorough review of their conduct during the suspension period, acknowledging that they have demonstrated significant improvements in their conduct and has consequently ordered their reinstatement to their respective positions.”
The report further indicated that Mutfwang had suspended the four officials in August due to concerns over their performance.
