Members of the House of Representatives (Reps) have lauded President Bola Tinubu over the approval of a 300 percent pay raise for judicial workers

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been applauded over the approval of a 300 percent pay raise and other incentives for the nation’s Judicial Officers.

House of Reps member Busayo Wole Oke also commended the National Assembly and the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, AGF for their support towards better welfare for the Judicial officers

The lawmakers representing Obokun/ Oriade Federal Constituency of Osun State on the platform of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) urged the judicial officers to reciprocate the gesture by being alive to their responsibilities, “bearing in mind that to whom more is given, much more is expected”

Oke who chairs the House Committee on Foreign Affairs noted, “I can beginning to see a better Nigeria , we at the parliament are doing our best, we moved it and the Executive, seasoned on it and it was approved, so the ball is now in the count of the Judiciary , together we will get to the promised land of our dream

“Before now, it was a pathetic story for the judicial officers and they have enormous tasks on them, the working environments are terrible, with this development, we are expecting that things will change for the best, no doubt the nation’s Judiciary will soon regain its lost glory.

“Both chambers of the 10th National Assembly since inauguration have been working round the clock to see our judicial system get the best in order to deepen our democracy, the court is the last hope of the common man.”
