Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industry and representative of Osun East Senatorial District, Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, has commended the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its members for their steadfast response to the recent Appeal Court judgement on local government elections in Osun State.
In a statement, Fadahunsi accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of deliberately misrepresenting the court’s ruling to suit their political ambitions.
He praised the PDP leadership and stakeholders for their resilience and courage, emphasizing that “the will of the people cannot be overridden by political manipulation.”
The senator expressed concern over what he described as “false claims and misleading narratives” propagated by APC leaders in the wake of the judgement.
He called on law enforcement agencies to remain vigilant and ensure peace is maintained across the state.
Fadahunsi alleged that the APC’s actions are part of a broader attempt to undermine the progress achieved by Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration.
He urged all stakeholders to prioritise peace and development in Osun State, reaffirming his commitment to supporting the governor’s developmental strides.
