Firm, dermatologists partner to mark World Skin Health Day in Lagos
The Nigerian Association of Dermatologists in conjunction with the Dermatology Society of Lagos recently organised a walk to Computer Village, Ikeja, in commemoration of World Skin Health Day 2023.
Through the initiative, which was sponsored by La Roche Posay, the experts took the importance of skin health to traders in the market, where many unsuspecting consumers had fallen victim to unsafe skincare products.
The walk started from the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) and ended at the Computer Village with free consultation to the traders. Also, La Roche Posay sample products were given to the traders according to their skin concerns.
The activities commenced with a courtesy visit to the Chief Medical Director of LASUTH, Prof. Adetokunbo Fabamwo, by the participating dermatologists from LASUTH and Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). They were accompanied by representatives of La Roche Posay in Nigeria led by Mrs. Beatrice Eneh.
Speaking during the visit, Fabamwo noted that the skin is the mirror to the body, stressing that people need to be mindful of what they rub on their skin.
Leader of the La Roche Posay representatives, Eneh, also said: “We are proud to partner with Nigerian dermatologists on this important initiative because you cannot speak about overall wellness and skincare in isolation.”
La Roche Posay is a foremost dermatologist-recommended brand in the world and it is officially present in Nigeria.
