Popular Nollywood actress, Hilda Dokubo, and the distinguished Professor of English and Literary Studies, Hope Eghagha, will headline the 2021 Lagos International Film Festival (LIFF). The festival is scheduled to hold as from December 9 to 12, at the National Film Corporation, Lagos Office, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Hilda Dokubo, according to a statement signed by Founder and President of LIFF Madu Chkiwendu, is expected to host an acting workshop at the sidelines of LIFF, while Professor Hope Eghagha of the University of Lagos will facilitate a story telling session at LIFF.

“Iconic Hilda Dokubo will reveal the secret pathway to becoming a star and remaining a star,’’ said Chikwendu who had two weeks ago announced the appointment of celebrated Pan Africanist, veteran actor and filmmaker Stephen Chigorimbo as Jury President.

Chikwendu added that under Hilda’s direction, LIFF participants would acquire the necessary skills to blend with their talents.

Mastery of the art of storytelling is the focus of the workshop to be facilitated by the distinguished Professor of Literature and celebrated dramatist Hope Eghagha. “Professor Hope Eghagha will do us the honour of unraveling the mystery behind telling a gripping tale during LIFF story story conversation,’’ Madu said.

Participation is by registration. To register see www.lagiff.com for details. Promoted as Nollywood’s premier film festival, the theme for this come back edition is ‘New Normal: Disrupting the disruption.’’
