Is 2022 the year of Kameko Tarnez

After his Michael Jackson songwriting collaboration back in 2006, Kameko Tarnez left the industry wanting more.

After his Michael Jackson songwriting collaboration back in 2006, Kameko Tarnez left the industry wanting more. Taking a backseat from music, Kameko and a group of investors wanted to make a different mark on the industry. A mark that will leave people more than satisfied. They wanted to feed your mind, body and soul.

From this came Archrok Entertainment. A full-fledged artist management, film production, and boutique record label. They have produced films such as Ashes of Eden, Samuel Bleak (starring Keith David), Mysteria (starring Danny Glover) With this mission in mind, came the birth of their most recent film project, “Protector of the Gods” with producers Rhonda Ross (daughter of entertainment mogul Berry Gordy and music icon Diana Ross) and Hill Harper (NAACP award winner and star of ABC’s “The Good Doctor”).

This thrilling trilogy tells us the stories of 3 of Egypt’s most recognized queens Hatshepsut, Nefertiti, and Cleopatra. This afro-futuristic story takes us through their journey as they fight to protect the bloodline that they hold so dear. “Protector of the Gods” has been recognized by GQ and Glamour magazines as “Hollywood’s First All-Black Egypt” film. Unfortunately, feeling the effects of the pandemic, filming was put on hold. However, this has not stopped this team from giving the people what they want. The Protector of the Gods franchise will be releasing a comic series later this year!

The pandemic has created a time for all of us to really reflect and delve into ourselves. It was during this time that Kameko’s love for music was rekindled.

In fact, he will be releasing his double single, “Soldier” Spring 2022. Kameko’s long awaited return has us jumping out of our seats and he gave us an exclusive listen as what he’s working on. The only thing we can say is it is truly something special. He feeds our creative thirst and stimulates our hunger for good music.
