Anybody that sees the steady rise of Alafaa ‘Oil Money’ Kariboye-Igbo in business and how he has been able to build for himself an empire of multifaceted business chains, would not know that this has been the childhood ambition of the Rivers State-born entrepreneur.

While reminiscing on his past during a recent chat with newsmen, the United Kingdom-based Kariboye-Igbo said that since childhood, he has always dreamt of becoming a business owner, adding that his success in life was divinely orchestrated by God.

“You can’t believe that I always had this passion of owning my own business since I was very young, I did pray to God that He should grant my heart’s desires. And with this mind-set, I worked very hard to see myself through the thick and thin of this world to be what I am today. I thank God for helping me achieve my heart’s desires. It‘s God’s doing, not my power,” said Kariboye-Igbo

It is no wonder that Kariboye-Igbo was able to grow to become a business tycoon and a silent billionaire whose wealth cuts across different businesses. He has also grown to be one of Africa’s most exquisite personalities.

Anything he touches turn to gold. He is known to be a successful investor in the real estate, oil and gas, entertainment and car dealership sectors. He set up a charity organisation called Oil Money Foundation, as a token of his wealth to affect the life of Nigerians. This, however, defines his uncommon altruism with the passion to help people around him,

Kariboye-Igbo’s business acumen earned him No. 3 status among the richest Nigerians in 2021 and he has also featured prominently on Wikipedia’s Nigerian billionaires’ list for 2020 and 2021.

Kariboye-Igbo has been greatly influenced by renowned and successful businessmen across the world who have made it big in their respective endeavours. No wonder he took the path of life of achievers like Birdman, Kanye West, Dr Dre, Jay-Z and Sean ‘P-Diddy’ Combs.

Oil Money has been able to develop himself to be an oriented entrepreneur with focus in actualizing his dreams and to develop human talent, hence the setting up of Oil Money Records, a record label that deals with signing and raising young talents.

Kariboye-Igbo’s foray into entertainment has helped shape and change the face of the music industry in Nigeria, as his Oil Money Records has been able to discover upcoming  artists and bring them from obscurity to limelight.

“Our desired goal is to operate with a high standard of excellence in business organisations and effectively manage music licensing and copyright processes, song promotion, royalty collection, and key partnerships around the world,” said Kariboye-Igbo

The UK-based business tycoon is now an expert in the music industry with the aim to make Oil Money Records bigger and influential while producing stars in the industry in a bid to take over the global music industry.
