Three years remembrance for Oluwole Awolowo
This year makes it 10 years since the death of Oluwole Bolade Akanni Awolowo, scion of the powerful Awolowo political family, publisher of the Tribune titles, who was famously called “unbreakable.”
The family last Sunday remembered the late publisher with a special prayer at the family home in Ikenne, Ogun State.
Oluwole, the first son of the late sage and former premier of the defunct Western Region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, died at the Wellington Hospital, St Johnswood, London, following alleged complications from a ghastly motor accident on September 30, 2006.
