WAWOOW launches fashion E-commerce platform
WAWOOH, a leading fashion and lifestyle ecommerce platform, officially launched its operations in Nigeria this month during a media parley which held at Terra Kulture, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The platform has been established to drive economic growth and activate new opportunities within the fashion sphere by providing an avenue for fashion designers and consumers across Africa to trade and collaborate.
Speaking during the launch, CEO of WAWOOH, Kunle Oladipo, stated that the fashion marketplace remains committed to driving a new narrative for fashion designers across Africa by giving them the opportunity to showcase their creative designs to a broad customer base via its WAWOOH Event and WAWOOH Marketplace platforms.
“Our goal is to bridge the gap between fashion creators and consumers in Africa, by providing a platform that contains a large collection of pieces from thousands of top African fashion designers.
“The platform also has a unique feature that allows you input your measurement online, and order for a bespoke/made-to-fit item which will be delivered to your doorstep. Also to ensure high-quality delivery, we have instituted an escrow system which ensures vendors aren’t paid until you have indicated that you received your order in perfect condition just as you want it.’’ he said.
Business Development Manager, WAWOOH, Bolaji Omitogun also said: “We currently have a database of fashion vendors who showcase a diverse line of bespoke and ready-to-wear African fashion items, modern attires and accessories including customized native Ankara apparels, embellished Aso-oke or batik dresses, patterned dresses, bags, native Hausa caps, Ankara bags and shoes on WAWOOH. Through these pieces, we are driving narratives about the beauty, creativity, brilliance and craftsmanship of Africans. We are sharing stories that matter one piece at a time.’’
The event also featured appearances from leading fashion influencers such as Denola Grey, Ozinna Anumudu, Temisan Emmanuel and Makida Moka who were present to witness the launch of the fashion and lifestyle marketplace.
With its launch, fashion designers can start showcasing their products by registering on WAWOOH to access the large audience of fashion consumers that it offers. This launch heralds the beginning of new vistas for fashion creators, buyers and the creative ecosystem.
