CitySports Africa 5th Anniversary Awards night celebrates excellence

Determined to keep faith with the established tradition of excellence that defined the previous edition, CitySports Africa 5th Anniversary Awards and Fundraising lived up to its expectations as it turned out to be an occasion that will remain on the lips of attendees for years to come.

In all, 150 awards were presented to winners in different sports like swimming, Athletics, Basketball, and Football for the U-7, U-9, U-11, U-13, U-15 and u-18 categories.

The Sports Leadership Award which was the biggest award on the night went to CitySports Academy star, Kamran Nouri. Fielding questions from reporters, Nouri’s parents expressed their satisfaction with their son’s notable achievement and believed the sports academy is capable of nurturing Nouri into a better player.

Chief Executive Officer, CitySports Africa, Shola Opaleye said it was important to organise the fundraising to enable the company achieve its set goals in the next 10 years.

” In the past five years, we have been focusing on the right route to develop sports skills, leadership skills, and academic skills because these are the basic three skills every child needs to attain their potential as they grow up.”, he said
