Eagles practice penalty kicks ahead of Palancas Negras’ challenge
Not ready to follow the footsteps of defending champions, Senegal, who lost in a penalty shoot-out to hosts, Cote d’Ivoire, in the round of 16 on Monday night, the Super Eagles yesterday spent some time practising spot kicks and shooting in their training session at the Police College, Cocody.
Jose Peseiro’s men will take on the Palancas Negras of Angola in the quarterfinals of the championship on Friday.
In anticipation of scenarios that might likely emerge during the encounter, the Super Eagles practised penalty kicks and shooting towards the end of training yesterday.
Monday’s session was open to the media for only 15 minutes as 24 players took part in the training session under the watchful eyes of head coach Jose Peseiro.
