Enyimba begins FA Cup defence against Nasarawa Feeders
Federation Cup champions, Enyimba, will start the defence of their title with a relatively easy tie against non-league side, Nasarawa Feeders.
In a draw yesterday at the FIFA Goal Project inside the Package B of the Abuja National Stadium, the People’s Elephants were drawn against Nasarawa United’s feeder team in a yet to be determined venue.
But the game will hold between May 13 and 14. Enyimba won the Federation’s Cup last season by beating Premier League rivals, Dolphins, 1-0 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.
League champions, Kano Pillars, will start their campaign against another non-league side, Zara FC, while last season’s runners-up, Dolphins, will play Inter FC. Former Federation’s Cup champions, Rangers and Heartland, will meet Kaduna United and Bizzi Cashless respectively. The round of 62 will hold on May 13 and 14, while the round of 32 will be held between July 8 and 9 with the final slated for August 30.
