President Federation Cup: NFF insists states, FCT finals must hold weekend

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), yesterday, reiterated that all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) must hold the final matches of their 2025 President Federation Cup competition this weekend.

The federation told the secretaries of the states’ football associations in a statement by its Director of Competitions, Ruth David, that the “final matches are to be played only on February 22 or 23, except in special cases and as approved by the NFF.
“Failure to adhere to the above attracts a fine of N1 million.”
The NFF has scheduled the national play-off of this year’s competition for March 5, with the national draw one week later, while the rounds of 64, 32 and 16 are scheduled for March 19, April 2 and April 16, 2025 respectively. The quarterfinals have been slated for May 3 and 4, with the semifinals fixed for May 17 and 18.
