Meet Kate Scott, Jalal Bouzrara the co-hosts of 2024 CAF awards
The 2024 CAF Awards will take place at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday, December 18, 2024, celebrating Africa’s top football talents of the past year. Kate Scott and Jalal Bouzrara will host the prestigious event.
Kate Scott, known for her work with CNN, SkySports, and CBS Sports, brings her dynamic sports broadcasting experience to the awards. Fluent in four languages, she has hosted global events like the FIFA Ballon d’Or and the UEFA Champions League.
Excited about the opportunity, Scott said, “It will be a privilege to be on stage alongside some of the most influential names in football. African football gives the global game soul.”
Co-hosting the event will be Jalal Bouzrara, a seasoned Moroccan journalist with over 30 years of experience. Bouzrara, known for his sports programming such as L’Match and L’Club, returns to host the CAF Awards for a second time, having previously done so in 2022.
He expressed his pride, saying, “You only have to look at the list of nominees to see the constant evolution of African football.”
The 2024 CAF Awards will feature the best African footballers of the year, with top nominees including Achraf Hakimi, Ademola Lookman, Serhou Guirassy, Simon Adingra, and Inaki Williams.
Anticipation grows as Africa’s football stars prepare to be recognised in a ceremony that highlights the continent’s vibrant football culture.
