Nigeria draw Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire in Group B
Nigeria must navigate successfully a group comprising Burkina Faso and Cote d’Ivoire if they want to be at the next African U-20 Nations Cup.This is as organisers of the WAFU B U-20 Championship, yesterday, released the draw for the competition slated for Togo, next month with Nigeria and the aforementioned duo in the three-team Group B of the competition.
In Group A, which has the full complement of four teams, are hosts, Togo, Ghana, Niger, and Benin. The tournament is the qualifying competition for the African U-20 Cup of Nations, where the Aliyu Zubairu-tutored team is expected to get to at least the semifinals to have the chance of returning to the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
The Flying Eagles are currently preparing for the WAFU B Championship with a series of friendly games against local sides.
