Nigeria Shitoryu Karate Union holds end of year seminar, training

Nigeria Shitoryu Karate Union (NSKU), has unveiled plans to ensure its activities reach all the corners of the country in 2023.

Speaking at the Union’s end of the year party and seminar held at their National Head Quarters at Vicamen Karate, Music and Fitness Centre, Okota, Lagos, NKSU President, Shihan (Pharm) Victor Akhimien, said the Union is dedicated to ensure people learn how to protect themselves from a form of attack and also encourage athletes to improve on their Shitoryo karate skills to excel in local and international championships.

Akhimien, a 7th degree Karate Black Belt and Technical Director of NSKU, said the end of year seminar, training and party was organised to teach athletes and their coaches the latest trends in Shitoryu Karate.
“Shitoryu karate is affiliated to Karate Federation of Nigeria (KFN) of which I am also a member as a Style Head. We also have the World Shitoryu Karate Federation.”

“The end of year seminar and training has helped members to learn more modern Shitoryu karate techniques. It was also another way to create friendship among members,” he said.

The seminar was attended by different karate clubs, with athletes of all age categories present to collect their certificates.

Victor, who also doubles as the Technical Director of Nigeria Mixed Martial Arts Federation (NMMAF), thanked sponsors for their support over the years.
