NSC to inaugurate Elite Athletes Devt Board Thursday

The National Sports Commission (NSC) has said that it would inaugurate the Elite Athletes Development/Podium Board on Thursday.

The 13-man board is saddled with the mandate of creating elite athletes and ensuring their welfare and motivation to excel at major international championships.

The board is made up of Yusuf Alli, who is the chief executive officer, Bambo Akanni (consultant), Prof. Ken Anugweje (adviser), Dr Emmanuel Igbinosa, Mallam Salihu Abubakar, Aku Aghazu, Tunde Adelakun, Prof. Sadiq Abdulahi and Mary Onyali.

Also members of the board are Hauwa Kulu Akinyemi, Sunday Odebode, Olalekan Alabi and Bamiduro Olumide, who will serve as its secretary.
