A lot of people today are moving about physically, but in the spirit realm, they have been buried by the enemy. One of man’s greatest fears is being buried while still alive. We see such scenarios play out in films and we watch in horror, as the victim struggles in panic, screaming and clawing for survival, yet alone six feet in the ground to slowly suffocate to death. In the body of Christ today, we have the same scenario of believers who feel consciously bound and buried.

They are physically free, but restrained from moving forward in life. The enemy has placed them in a spiritual tomb and pronounced them dead. Such persons are desperate for a “come forth” moment that will move them out of defeat into victory. If that explains what you are experiencing right now, I pray for you that the same anointing that brought Lazarus from the grave will bring you out today and whatever has been dead in your life is coming alive again in Jesus’ name.

In the story we read from our text in John 11, Lazarus was not ordained to die at that time and, so even, if he was buried physically, spiritually he was still alive. When Jesus stepped into the scene, he commanded him to come alive. A lot of the people we see today are moving corpses, already buried in the spirit realm. That is why we need to be careful when dealing with people to avoid being accused of killing an already dead person. Other things that can be buried are your marriage, business, career and ministry among others. In such cases you may find yourself struggling to make it work, but all to no avail. May God step into your situation today in Jesus’ name.

To be buried alive can mean so many things. First, it refers to a premature burial, which leads to a premature death. In one of our prayer services, a young man prayed so fervently that even when others had stopped he still continued on a particular prayer point until he was sweating profusely. After the service, he told me that when I raised the prayer point against the power of the grave, he suddenly saw himself inside a coffin in a grave. He was putting on a black suit with bits of cotton wool in his nostrils.

While he was hitting hard on the coffin and struggling to break out of it, we observed physically that his prayer became violent and erratic. In the spirit realm, he had been buried and it was only a matter of time, he would have died mysteriously. Such persons will begin to choke and suffocate spiritually until the oxygen content in that coffin is exhausted and then he will run out of life. Thank God, that young man was delivered in the prayer service on that faithful day. I pray for you, if you find yourself in such a situation, you are breaking out of it today in Jesus’ name.
