The President of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel Oladele has warned churches and church leaders of the danger of deviating from the ancient land marks given to them by God as Christian doctrine. The cleric said that the teachings that are flying about today in many denominations are not rooted in the scriptures, though these doctrinesmay appear to be popular, but they won’t help the church of God.
Oladele said: “There are so many teachings flying about today, but we are talking about doctrines rooted in the scriptures. These teachings may be popular, they may be inviting, but if they are not rooted in the Bible, they won’t help the church.

Urging churches and their leaders to know that God’s word is settled in heaven and does not need revision or padding, the President said: “This was why God warned Israelites not to tamper with the ancient land marks, which demarcates family holdings from one another. But today’s Christianity is shifting from the clear landmark that was set for us in the scriptures.”

The President, who gave the warning during a press conference held recently to herald the church’s Pastors’ Conference scheduled for September 19 to 22, 2023 at Babalola International Miracle Camp, Ikeji Arakeji in Osun State, stated that Christianity is not to be practised the way anyone wants, butaccording to the specification, which has been given in the Bible.

“The doctrine that we are talking about is not CAC system of beliefs, but what the Bible teaches. It is the fundamental truths of the Bible, which we cannot joke with. We cannot compromise that. It is time for the church to go back to the doctrines of the Bible,” he added.

He stressed that the focus on sound doctrine is not what the church or its leaders teach, but what the Bible teaches. On the 2023 Pastors’ Conference of CAC, Nigeria and Overseas, Oladele disclosed that the purpose is to emphasise the truth about the standard doctrine of Christianity.

According to him, the theme is: “Proving Our Growth Through Sound Doctrine.” He explained that it is necessary for ordained ministers to return to the basics and uphold sound doctrine from the Bible. He added that the church may be wrong, but the word of God cannot be wrong, quoting Psalms 119:89, which says: “Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.”

The president who stated that the yearly event is strictly for ordained CAC ministers added that attendees will experience God’s visitation. He disclosed that through the resource persons and the range of topics to be treated, attendees will be blessed spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, financially among others.

Over 12,000 ordained ministers in CAC are expected to gather at the Babalola International Miracle Camp, IkejiArakeji in Osun State, from 4pm on Tuesday, September 19.
