Maximum productivity means achieving the highest possible output with the least amount of input, essentially working as efficiently possible by optimising time, resources and energy to produce the best quality results. To achieve maximum productivity, you should avoid distractions. To avoid distractions, you should place your vision in front of you. Your vision determines your values. Values are standards and principles that help you create boundaries to avoid distractions. Your values help you to prioritise and focus on things that are more important. Sometimes, we invest more of our time on the things that take our money and do not invest more time on the things that bring in the money.

You need to prioritise and define what is most important. For example, if you value your family, you got to invest time to cultivate relationship with your wife and children. Whatsoever you invest your time in, is what grows. The things that are most important to us are the things we should invest most of our time in.

You can use your travel time to learn and engage in personal development (reading books or listening to a podcast while traveling). Create time to rest because it boosts productivity. Eat a proper breakfast. A healthy breakfast gives your body and brain energy. Optimal productivity is intrinsically linked to self-care.If you want to be productive, allocate some of your time for rest. Remind yourself once in a while that you are not God. Your resources are limited spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally and psychologically. Once you hit a particular optimum point, your productivity begins to go down. When you are tired, you find it difficult to get your mind to work at optimum and create ideas. You need to develop leadership skill to increase productivity in any organisation.

Everything rises and falls on leadership. When the leadership gets better, the organisation gets better. You need people to execute a project and that is why leadership is a big deal. Your leadership skills will determine how productive your team will be. A good leader creates an environment of open communication where team members can share their ideas, concerns and feedback, which lead to overall success of the team. A good leader motivates the team members into achieving more results for the organisation.

What you do with your time outside work hours is very important and will impact on your productivity. As an employee, what you do outside of your work hours will probably impact more on your progress than what you do during work hours (routine work).Your routine job will keep you where you are, so that, you don’t lose your job may be.

Extra knowledge and extra skill that you add outside of the work hours, those are the things that make you special on the job and those are the things that help you to achieve unusual results. Read at a large scale to increase your productivity on the work you do. Read at CEO level. Read things outside the scope of your own job, it will help you to give suggestions to your leaders at the workplace.
The tenure of skills is not for a lifetime. John Sherman, said: “The average shelf life of skills is less than five years.” Therefore, you need to keep learning new skills and better ways to do your work to stay relevant and interact effectively in the corporate world. While you are doing your current job, find time to learn skills or take on new courses, so that, when your old skill is not relevant, you can put your new skill on the table.
