The Church has been called to engage creativity and innovation as stools to transform Christian ministry
The advice was given by Pastor Stella Mofunanya at a lecture delivered at the valedictory service of The Redeemer’s International Leadership Academy (RILA) with theme: “Innovation In Transforming Christian Ministry In Contemporary Society,” held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Banana Island, Lagos.

The Academy graduated 135 graduates made up of 11 masters, 105 PGDs, three diplomas and 16 certificates.
Pastor Mofunanya, who is also the Rector, The Redeemer’s College of Technology and Management, said engaging the communities through technology would invariably revitalise worship and enhance discipleship.

“God is creative and innovative in His nature and encourages us as believers to embrace these qualities in our lives and ministries. The contemporary landscape of Christian Ministry is characterised by rapid social, cultural, and technological changes. These dynamics necessitate a transformative approach to ministry that leverages creativity and innovation,” she said.

Mofunanya disclosed that in a rapidly changing world, for the Church to achieve her mission, it is imperative she acquaints herself with the modern methods compatible with the needs of our time.

She called on the graduating students to be resourceful, develop problem-solving skills, kindle their entrepreneurial spirit, be prudent, be armed with artistic talents, develop the ability to thing outside the box and remain creative everyday.

The General Overseer, RCCG worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who was represented at the event by the Assistant General Overseer, Research and Development, Pastor Josiah Bolarinwa, who is also the Chairman, Board of Governors, RILA,told the graduating students to emulate the best leadership style of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
The Rector, RILA, RankyOladele said the goal of the academy is to transform students to be effective leaders.
