More facts about business mogul, Lord Echendu rising profile
When it comes to successful Nigerian entrepreneurs that are blazing the trail as international captains of industries, the name Echendu Ndubuisi Anthony is rarely mentioned. But with recent talks about his works and networth, we have gathered factual information about the man popularly known as Lord Echendu.
Without doubts Lord Echendu Ndubuisi has been making huge strides in the business world, as his firm, Echendu Group of Companies is quietly executing multi-million dollar contracts in the United Kingdom, United States of America, Ghana and Nigeria, while also spreading hope to indigent Africans through his charity foundation, The Echendu Unify.
There are some compelling facts about the business guru.
Lord Echendu is the seventh of ten children born to the Retired Army General, Late Chief Echendu Christopher Francis Wichendu. He is a cousin of the late Nigerian football international, Echendu Adiele, who played for Sharks of Port Harcourt and several clubs in the German Bundesliga. Lord Echendu hails from Obio Akpor local council of Rivers State, considered to be one of the richest councils in Nigeria.
After his basic education in Nigeria, Lord Echendu Ndubuisi proceeded to pursue his higher education in the UK where he obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University College London, and a professional certificate degree in Engineering from Kingdom Entrepreneur Institute UK, and has gone ahead to bag several professional business and leadership certifications from renowned institutions such as the Harvard Business School, Metropolitan Business School London, and the International Business Management Institute, Cambridge, among others.
His business acumen is what brought him to the limelight. At the age of 23, Lord Echendu had already launched a warehouse construction company called Esh Services. A few years later, he established Echendu Oil and Gas which provided offshore services to petrochemical companies around the world. He is now the founder and majority shareholder of Echendu Group of Companies that have executed multimillion-dollar contracts in the construction, Oil and Gas, and Real Estate Industries across the UK, US, Ghana and Nigeria.
Another thing that has defined the life of Lord Echendu Ndubuisi is his ‘giving’. He founded the Echendu Unify Foundation for the sole purpose of giving hope and empowering lives through food and cash donations to less-privileged individuals and families across West African countries, scholarships for university students, the elderly and the youth.
Lord Echendu Ndubuisi was knighted into the Catholic order of St. Anthony for his “services to the growth of entrepreneurship” in April 2020.
Given the thin line between business and politics, it is not surprising that Lord Echendu Ndubuisi has shown an interest in vying for political office. It is believed that the Rivers State-born businessman will soon test the murky waters of Nigerian politics.
Given his wealth and looks, Lord Echendu should be one of the most eligible bachelors around as he is still a single father to a daughter, Echendu Alexandra Catherina who was born in Britain.
Growing up, like most boys, Lord Echendu loved playing football and must have been good at it as he was invited for trials with Valley FC in Denmark, but we never know how this would have turned out, as his father encouraged him to pursue his passion for engineering instead.
The entrepreneur is a staunch supporter of Arsenal, the North London football club.
With his diversified business portfolio, there have been several speculations over the wealth profile of Lord Echendu Ndubuisi, some online publications have put it at $18.5 million, but the actual figure is unknown.
